Corrugated board manufacturing process

Corrugated board is a solid material made of cardboard. It has the characteristics of light weight, high strength, heat insulation and sound insulation. It is widely used in the packaging industry and construction industry. The following is the manufacturing process of corrugated board.

1. Cardboard selection: Choose a cardboard material suitable for making corrugated boards. It is usually composed of an inner layer of paper (face paper) and an outer layer of paper (backing paper), with a layer of corrugated cardboard (corrugated core paper) sandwiched in the middle.

2. Cardboard gluing: The cardboard is coated with glue on the surface through a gluing machine to increase the strength and water resistance of the cardboard.

3. Corrugated cardboard production: The glued cardboard is passed through the corrugated cardboard forming machine, and after a series of operations, the corrugated cardboard is embossed into a corrugated shape. There are usually different types of corrugated cardboard such as A-type corrugated board, B-type corrugated board, and C-type corrugated board.

4. Corrugated cardboard bonding: The corrugated cardboard is bonded through an automated bonding machine and fixed with environmentally friendly glue.

5. Drying and flattening: Send the bonded corrugated cardboard to the dryer for drying, and at the same time perform flattening operations through the flattening machine to ensure the flatness and quality of the corrugated cardboard.

6. Cutting and shaping: Cut and shape the dried and flattened corrugated cardboard as needed to obtain the required size and shape.

7. Quality inspection and packaging: Conduct quality inspection on the formed corrugated boards, including strength testing, compression testing, dimensional inspection, etc. Packed by qualified corrugated board, usually in the form of reels or pallets.

Summary: The production process of corrugated board mainly includes steps such as cardboard selection, cardboard gluing, corrugated cardboard production, corrugated cardboard bonding, drying and flattening, cutting and shaping, quality inspection and packaging. These processes ensure the quality and performance of corrugated boards, enabling them to meet the needs of different industries.
